Biomechanics Analysis – What is it and who is it for?

Biomechanics Analysis | Peter Field Golf Shop, Norwich

One of our newest available sessions to our PAR coaching services is a biomechanics analysis. This has been made available through our advanced technology investment in a 3D motion system and pressure plate. This full swing and body analysis gives a complete breakdown of your movement efficiency in the golf swing, your power production capabilities and prevention of injury.

This session has been designed and is implemented by Lewis, who has recently completed his Masters in Science, specialising in biomechanics. With an extensive knowledge in anatomy and golf swing biomechanics, Lewis has helped many of golfers develop, from beginners to elite amateurs and professionals.

Who’s this session aimed for?

A common misconception with our technology is it’s only reserved for elite players or players who understand “numbers”. This session is aimed at anyone who wants too:

  • Increase club head speed
  • Decrease likelihood of injury
  • Become more efficient in your movements and golf swing
  • Understand why you swing how you currently swing

What does the session consist of?

Meet and greet, introduction to PAR Technology Suite
Suit up into the 3D motion capture straps
Data collection of some swings with 3D, whilst on the pressure mat and 2D cameras.
2D video analysis, looking at video together to see what we both like and could improve.
Confirmation of some things mentioned in 2D, using the 3D and pressure data

Full analysis of 3D and pressure data
Movement ideas, drills for changes with visual and sensory feedback (example below)
