Working in a golf environment, a buzz erupts around the centre as the best in the world compete for the lucrative crown of \u201cchampion golfer of the year\u201d. This year the players are competing for the Claret Jug over the Dunluce Links at Royal Portrush. The championship yardage will stretch to 7337 yards, an increase of almost 200 yards from previous competition tees. The course record is held by Rory McIlroy with a stunning 61, when he was only 16! <span class=\"TextRun BCX4 SCXW154808886\" lang=\"EN-GB\" xml:lang=\"EN-GB\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun BCX4 SCXW154808886\"> (<\/span><\/span><span class=\"TextRun BCX4 SCXW154808886\" lang=\"EN-GB\" xml:lang=\"EN-GB\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun BCX4 SCXW154808886\">&#x1f631;<\/span><\/span><span class=\"TextRun BCX4 SCXW154808886\" lang=\"EN-GB\" xml:lang=\"EN-GB\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun BCX4 SCXW154808886\">).\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Every major championship, I get asked the same question by everyone\u2026 \u201cWho do you fancy this year Lewis?\u201d <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">So<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> here\u2019s my predictions below!\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Winner:\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Xander <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Sch<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">auffele<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u2013<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">the <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">talented <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">American has come close in the <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">last couple of majors <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">and is waiting for a break into the world top 5. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">His whole golf game is complete <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">and also<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> has one of my favourite swings on tour!\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/peterfieldgolf.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Xander20Schauffele.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-27656\" src=\"https:\/\/peterfieldgolf.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Xander20Schauffele-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Xander signed a deal with Callaway this year, here he is with his Epic Flash Sub Zero.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Top 5:\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Marc Leishman<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u2013<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">Marc\u2019s <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">adaptable ball flight and control is <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">second to none and loves showing up for a major event. His form this year hasn\u2019t been <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">fantastic but<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> will likely feature over the weekend.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Top 10:<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Graeme McDowell \u2013 <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">growing up around the corner from Royal Portrush, <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">GMac<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">knows every inch of the course.
