The new Blueprint S iron has been expertly crafted following extensive testing with Ping’s elite tour pros to develop an iron which delivers the ultimate control and precision demanded by the most advanced players.
It’s compact head design paired with a thin top line and minimal offset is pleasing to the eye of the true shotmaker’s of the game. Built with fully forged 8620 carbon steel, this head boasts a clean cut, cavity design finished with an eye-catching forged textured pattern and hydropeal 2.0 chrome.
Made with split-set construction technology, this precision pocket forging technique allows Ping to engineer a forged pocket into the cavity of the 3, 4 and 5 irons. Doing this enables 10 grams of weight to be saved and re-allocated to increase MOI and better optimise the centre of gravity, thus providing increased distance, forgiveness, and improved trajectory control.
An elastomer insert is precisely placed in the pocket of the 3, 4 and 5 irons to provide the solid feel and ever pleased sound that is expected from a forged players iron. The 6 iron through to the pitching wedge are then sized and shaped to ensure maximum workability and control. A machined tungsten toe screw combined with shaft tip weights adds forgiveness and provides precise swing-weight tuning.
