A MiM Construction has opened the door for Callaway to deliver precision in wedge construction, dialling in touch and feel like never before.
The Opus Platinum has been designed through metal injection moulding (MiM), using a proprietary blend of metals to precisely dial in performance and feel. The topline is bonded with Tungsten giving players a shot that will naturally launch lower, providing more control and spin into the green. This level of advanced engineering delivers the ultimate in wedge performance, deserving of the Opus Platinum name.
Taking wedge play around the world to an entirely new level, the Opus Platinum features the all-new Spin Gen Face Technology to combine key elements on the face. A tighter pitch, putting more grooves on the face. Offset groove-in-groove for spin when opening the face around the green and a new aggressive face blast providing the bite on partial shots. All of which work to provide tour level spin.
The Opus Platinum wedge is the most Tour tested, Tour validated shape in Callaway history. A higher toe peak, leading edge radius and easier hosel transition make Opus Platinum Callaway’s best wedge shape ever.
Offering two grinds, the friendly low bounce Z grind which is made for shotmakers who like to open the face around the green leaving a shallow divot. Plus the S grind, built for every situation and fits a variety of swing types, but best suited for players who prefer square faced shots leaving a moderate divot.
This is the most Tour validated shape in Callaway’s history, included multiple victories on Tour already. Coming in two finishes, platinum chrome and platinum blue.
